costumes par excellence of the San Fermín festivals, although an
indispensable article and generalized among nearly a hundred per cent of
the people from Pamplona and outsiders is the red necktie. Those
who do not have one may buy them in innumerable shops and stalls set up along the
old quarter of the city. In these stalls, you will find hundreds of diffrerent
white T-shirts with all kind of motifs: San FermÌn local or humorous topics,
current affairsä etc. that are the preferred dress by visitors during these
festivals. White trousers and shirts are also easily accessible in local shops.
If you intend to spend the night partying, tie a sweater around your waist
because at certain hours, especially at dawn, the mixture of alcohol and morning
chill could get the better of you. As for footwear, sport shoes are the
most advisable and are is used by the majority of visitors and people from
Pamplona. In any case, as it has been clearly pointed out before, any
comfortable and casual footwear that can take hours and hours of tramping
on the streets.
