Introduction

Run or stand your ground - what would you do?

This has been a long time coming, and I hope you will find it was worth the wait. "Grizzly" is one of my favourite games, and I wanted to present it in such a way that you folks out there get at least a sporting chance to apreciate it the way I do. The stumbling block here is, without doubt, the rule (or set of rules) that governs bear movement. It can, initially,  make appear rather complicated what is essentially quite a simple game.
It is a well known phenomenon that game rules are often explained and presented less clearly than they should be, because the author takes for granted too many things which, to him, are obvious, but to the newbie player they're not. In all likelyhood, I have fallen into this trap more than once in these pages, and I would be grateful if you'd let me know about anything that requires further clarification. - Now then, what have we got here:

Contents
1. The Making of "Grizzly" - origins and history of the game
2. The Rules, presented in four sections:

Section 1:
    - Basic principles
    - What you need for playing
    - Before you play
    - Setting up the board
    - Placing the bears
    - Placing the men

Section 2:
    - Let the Action Start!
    - Moving the men
    - Reaching a station
    - Overcrowded stations

Section 3:
    - The Bears
    - Bear movement
    - Man eaters

Section 4:
    - Fight 'em back!
    - Thou shalt not shoot thy neighbour
    - Ending the game
(The finishing touches to this part are soon to be added!)

3. The "Do it yourself" Section
(Also soon to be completed - honest!)
(featuring the brand-new design "Alien Menace", which is essentially "Mini-Grizzly"!)
4. Grizzly Picture Gallery
