(1) The independence was proclaimed on 3 Mar 1992. To 9 Apr 1992 the country was called Socialist Republic of BiH.
(2) On 5 Oct 1996 a three-member Presidency was established. Members for the term 1996-1998 were Alija Izetbegovic (Bosniak, SDA), Momcilo Krajisnik (Serb, SDS) and Kresimir Zubak (Croat, HDZ).
(3) The collective Presidency acquired on 13 Oct 1998 a rotating leadership. Members for the term 1998-2000 were Alija Izetbegovic (Bosniak, SDA), Zivko Radisic (Serb, SP RS) and Ante Jelavic (Croat, HDZ).
