This collection provides shorts descriptions (prime ministers, tenures and partisan compositions) of European governments over the years. The country set doesn't include Andorra, Liechtenstein, Malta, Monaco and San Marino. European CIS countries, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine, have been excluded either because the executive cabinets are not generally lined up through parliamentary/partisan arrangements but by presidential decision. The page includes three no longer existing countries, Czechoslovakia, East Germany and the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia/Serbia and Montenegro. Check the countries at the Political Leaders database. Look for biographies of the leaders (in Spanish) at CIDOB website.

(1) CSS and CSL belonged to the so-called National Front of Czechs and Slovaks (NF), a structure hegemonized by the KSC.
(2) Prime minister Calfa left out the KSC on 18 Jan 1990 to join the VPN. Following the disolution of the VPN in Apr 1991, he became a leading member of ODU-VPN (see below).
(3) The CSL became the KDU-CSL in 1992. Four out of the seven ministers labeled as independents were in fact linked to the OF.
(4) Both the OF, active in the Czech Republic, and its Slovak partner, the VPN, were disbanded in Apr 1991. From the defunct OF several parties came out: the ODS, the Civic Democratic Alliance (ODA) and the Civic Movement (OH). From VPN, the ODU-VPN and the HZDS.
