Because the numerous monuments placed in this Municipality, the visitor can make a beautiful historical way during his staying in these lands, going from Stone Age to nowadays. We can signal the next constructions, by its architectonic beauty and by state of keeping along the centuries.

This is one of the most beautiful works of civil architecture in Galicia, placed in Borraxeiros Village. For the construction of this palace, in XVIIth. Century, were used elements of a fortress placed in Vilela lands.

Its construction is square with a two floor battlement front, with a neoclasic-style door and barroc-style chim. In the four coats or arms that around the doors we can see the arms of Salgado and Fuciños Houses.

The rests of the fortress and Borraxeiros lands belonged to the Archbishop of Santiago and, by order of the Pope Gregorio XII was authorized King Felipe II to sell them in the year 1.583 to Mr. Antonio Salgado Gundín, clergyman of the Laxe House at Monterroso (Lugo). The surname Fuciños, was incorporated to this coat of arms and lineage, by wedding with a heiress of the house, more than one hundred years ago.

The title of Count of Borraxeiros, was given by first time the January 21th. 1.761 to Joaquín Salgado,  Captain of the Militia.

Nowadays, the construction is in excellent estate of keeping, it deserves a detailed visit by everyone near this lland. So, is in project, the conversion, if not totally, at least in part of the "Pazo" in a rural tourisme house. 

By the semicircular archivolts of its front door we can see that is romanic-style of the XIIth. Century. Originally, the nave of this church was disposed in three sections, noted by pairs of columns, where the transverse arcades were fixed. The church lost its romanic profile when was reformed, transforming its plant to make it latin cross. In church indoor is the sepulchre of Count of Borraxeiros, shown by a pryng statue of the XVIIth. Century. The barroc pinacles and the belfry were added in the reconstruction made in the XVIIIth. Century.

Ancient Agolada Parish Church, was built in the year 1.030, and modify in later centuries, because of that its front is of the XIIIth. century and the belfry of the XVIth century.

Its plant has only one nave and its abside is rectangular with rest of its romanic origins.

It has three doors, and is only complete the frontdoor.

"Os Pendellos", are one of the most relevant constructions that are placed in the capital city of this municipality. Historic-artistical compound, its very good kept, and on it had been done, by initiative of the Agolada Council, Public Institutions and European Organisms,  works of conservation, in that worked during summer months, several groups of students directed by experts, in order to keep the original structure and tipology as built in XVIIth. Century.
