Bohus
Energi AB, Suecia is headed by Director Sven-Olov Granholm, who has many
years of experience in the wind turbine industry
In
1997, he earned an enviromental award for his many years of effort in
connection with spreading the use of wind energy in Sweden.
In
1996, Bohus Energy supplied and erected nine 600 kW wind turbines for
Vattenfall AB, one of the biggest utility businesses in the nordic
countries.
Bohus
Energy also holds buildinf permits for a large number of wind
turbines, and the company has applied for building permits for more than
200 large wind turbines.
Sweden
has decided to gradually decommission its nuclear power stations, and
other production methods that can produce the same amount of electricity
have to be found.
Wind
energy is an obvious choice because it can be expanded rapidly and on a
decentral basis in the areas where there is a need for electricity.
The
Sweddish state will provide an initial subsidy of 15% for wind energy
plants and also give an enviromental subsidy for each kW hor produced from
such sources as wind turbines.
On
the basis of present electricity prices for alternative energy, only the
widiest places in Sweden are of interest of investors. As a developer or
investor it is necessary to be certain of the amount of wind energy
available before erecting a wind turbine. There is no room for significant,
negative deviations. Great experience and expertise are necessary to find
the most suitable sites for wind turbines. Together Jysk Vindkraft A/S and
Bohus Energy AB find the optimum solutions for those investors who wish to
become involved in expanding the use of wind energy in Sweden.
