The Art of Reverse Engineering
|
Fravia+ http://www.phase-one.com.au/fravia/
Lookd like bad news for my favorite site. Hope you made a copy like me...
I found this site about 3 years ago and it is one of the sites I visit most often, even today. It contains a wealth of information about the wonderful world of Reverse Engineering. He hosts the largest an most comprehensive archive of reverse tutorials I have ever seen. It is not just the amount but the quality of them. The tutorials range from beginner to expert until you can reverse the ultimate +HCU strainer that comes out yearly and become one of the masters. With this mastery comes the earning of the highly coveted "+" on your name. Sound silly? Go and check it out. If you are even slightly interested, tell me you wouldn't want that insignificant "+".
Not only does he teach the Reverse Engineering of software, but also of reality. Make sure you check out his new section on Reality Cracking. If you have no interest in the techniques of reversing software then check out this section on reversing reality, you won't regret it. If even this doesn't interest you, he has the most useful web surfing techniques I have seen. Read them, Learn them, Follow them.
Greythorne http://home.sol.no/~reopsahl/files/
Another site in the veins of Fravia+'s. Greythorne's Realm contains the +ORC packs with all targets included in one zip file. Everything you need to start following +ORC's tutorials, the one that inspired the great Fravia+.
He also has great tutorials and lists of useful, and not so useful programs. Download his Crackme trainers he has collected to test your reversing skills. Definitely not a site to miss.
Mammon http://www.angelfire.com/ca/mammon/
Another site that will put you on a path to Reverse Engineering. Easier to navigate then Fravia+'s you will find tools and tutorials here. Pay close attention to his fantastic Tale on Softice. He also has Curriculums to follow for each stage of reversing mastery. After Fravia+ motivates you to learn, check out this site and Sandman's site to get the tools and knowledge to move on to Fravia+.
Sandman http://www.idca.com/~thesandman/
The best site for beginners in the art of reversing in my opinion.

Ars-Technica http://www.ars-technica.com/
One of the main sites I go to for my technology news and updates. Has many fine tutorials for overclocking, privacy, and buying a new computer. Updates daily with news tidbits with links to the full story. Outstanding site.
Pop ups must die http://www.paradigm.nu/popupsmustdie/
Forced to use a "free" web host but can't stand the adds or the pops up that they force upon your viewers. Check out this site for all the sneaky backdoors on how to evade these automated nuisances.
Counter Exploitation http://lightning.prohosting.com/~cex/index.html
Another site similiar to Pop ups must die. Goes into much more besides simple adds and pop ups. Worth checking out if killing pop ups is an interest to you.
Nethersearch http://www.nethersearch.com/
Looking for a program? Try this alternative search engine.
PBeM Times http://www.pbem.com
A great site to get all the information you could ever want about PBEMs. Has links out the yang for PBEM openings and tons of links to different worlds people are running a PBEM in. Also has links to utilities and on-line DM aids. Pretty great site for all roleplaying IMHO.
Free Email Address Directory http://www.emailaddresses.com/
A good guide to find a ton of this kind of info. Autoresponders, Be anonymous, Bookmarks, Calendars/PIMs, Guestbooks, Internet access, Mailing list hosts, Online storage, Reminders, URL redirection, Web hosting.
Dax Strayfield http://www.geocities.com/Paris/Cinema/5287/
Website of a friend of mines. Home of his many poems and quite a few other things. Get ready for a weird experience though. He is constantly experimenting with new javascripts that do some funky stuff. You never know what is going to happen when you click on a new page or when you right-click.
MrPhluid http://www.angelfire.com/ri/adanis
Website of another friend. A site constantly in a state of flux. Basically a small portal for now.
Nimblefinder http://redrival.com/nimblefinder
Another good friend's website. He is just starting out but there are already some good things for aspiring C++ coders. Programs and well commented source code available.
