Work in dockyards and chandleries
In 1983 I was employed at the dockyard
of Waikiki (Hawaii), repairing fiberglass and wood yachts.
In 1985 I docked in Freemantle (Australia), where I helped
in the preparation of several boats that participated in
the America's Cup.
1986 saw me in Guam (USA), at the
repair base that the American fishing fleet has established
there, working at the boatyard until I could finally embark on one of the boats.
In 1994 I designed several graphical data bases for companies specialized in marine provisions and ironworks in Guadalhorce (Spain).
During 1995-96 I worked for the marine shop Orge &
Scott, in Puerto Marina, Benalmádena, and helped
in the installation of the new store located at the harbour's
dockyard.
In 1996 I installed and put into operation a store for
Sowester, well-known manufacturer of marine equipment, at
Fuengirola's harbour, until its closing by administrative
reasons.
During 1997 I began to work for Marina del Sol, in Estepona,
first in the dockyard, and later as a commercial representative
covering the leisure ports along the coastal area of Southern Spain from Almeria
to Huelva.
At the present time I create Web sites and administer
databases for marine distributors and shops.
