The company was founded in 1986 and is part of the Pescanova Group. PESCAFRESCA´S main activity is based on the preparation, commercialisation and distribution of FRESH FISH.
Right from its early beginnings PESCAFRESCA has formed an important part of its base port Vigo (Visit to Vigo), the world´s leading fishing port. Its offices are located close to the fish market and the docks where the irish box fleet unloads its captures. Undoubtedly an ideal site for a company with a clear vocation: "fresh fish".
FRESH FISH
Fresh fish. A nutritions guarantee of quality and taste is our product. PESCAFRESCA processes, commercialises and distributes only the very best fresh fish, the best the sea has to offer from a wide variety of especies and sizes. The result for our clients is always the same: a guarantee of quality products in terms of hygiene, handling, processing and preparation, conserving all the taste and natural qualities of fresh fish.
THE PRODUCTION PROCESS
The choice of the PESCAFRESCA site is no coincidence; just a few metres from the sea. The fish comes to our processing area directly from the ship´s hold. Which amply meets the required conditions or hygiene and health and is equipped with a cold store with a capacity or more than 300 m3.
Processing is organised according to species and the products are pacjed in boxes designed to keep the organoleptic conditions of each piece intac, guaranteeing that the customer will receive the product in optimum conditions.
QUALITY CONTROL
The first control is inspired by PESCAFRESCA´S company philosophy; PESCAFRESCA´S undertaking to only acquire top quality products. The next step takes place when the fish reaches our processing area, where our staff select and put aside the fish that does not meet optimum organoleptic condicions.
Several elements come into play at this point, in order to guarantee the optimum quality of our products, including the design of our production process, varios questions concerning health and hygiene, our specialised staff and a logistics circuit specially adapted to the fresh fish.

Everything at PESCAFRESCA is oriented towards customer satisfaction, the ultimate aim and mos visible consequence of a solid compay structure, formed by profesionals specialised in each area (biologists, handlers, transport workers) dedicated to their work and scrupulously respectful of their responsibilities to customers and suppliers.
Constantly guided by a double objective: to offer the best from the sea in the shortest possible time to distribute our products all over Europe and beyond, whit our fleet of vehicles; an excelent way of guaranteeing the conservation of PESCAFRESCA´S quality products.
