"Enlightened" EP 2009

This EP has been edited by the irish band of melodic black / death metal FOR RUIN and only available in digital format through its website. Includes 5 songs in just over 19 minutes. The first song called 'Crawl' is instrumental and quite short in duration, the music seems more thrash than death or black metal. In his next theme 'Care of the dead' appreciate some tunes are seen black / death mainly by the singer's voice (John Murphy), pretty good one. The third and longest song 'In suffering' is to my taste the best of all, here we can say without any shadow of doubt that the style is black / death metal and a high level, remembering what they did swedish groups half of '90 such as DISSECTION or SACRAMENTUM. 'Towards an end' is a remix made in 2008 of an song that already appeared in "December" was the debut album from this band, here the influences are rather in plan PARADISE LOST is a theme well played but I did not draw much attention, I can not speak for the original version because I have not heard "December". And to end repeat 'Crawl' but demo version, it sounds something more primitive, but as I said earlier I find more thrash than death or black metal. In short, a very interesting EP from this irish band did not know and it's worth buying especially for listening to 'In suffering' his best song.
