Exorcism

Common in the western world is the Christian one of the so-called 'Bell, Book and Candle'. This though, as any really experienced Exorcist would agree is well past its 'sell-by date'. The hierarchies of the various leanings rely on the old, purposely created demon and devil concept and are expressed, thus indicating evil prsences surrounding the property or person(s). Blessings for this stylised ritual, although 'allowed' to go 'unnoticed' by the upper eschelons, to conduct one, permission must be sought (but not always granted) from a Bishop or higher rank. Surely here is to be found something of an anomaly? But then there are so many in 'book and priest' type religions...

If a 'yes' is received though the priest will visit the haunted site or person(s). As if the entity is somewhat deaf or that they are trying to frighten it, the ancient ritual is always performed proclaiming the words very loudly. Gestures are also made with crosses and 'holy' water. During the speaking out the priest insists that, in the name of the Christ Jesus (or in the holy name of Jesus) the entity must leave the person and or the property forthwith. On finishing, whether or not there is evidence that the entity has left, the ritual is terminated. Then, simply because they are unschooled in the various effective methods used in exorcism, and especially if the phenomena is the same as when they began, many priests will simply make their excuses and leave.

Notwithstanding, whether or not their 'exorcism' is successful the same old ritual is virtually always still used. Further, the Christian hierarchy, even after 2000 and more years are still steeped in the blind faith of its books and restrictive practices. Accordingly, they will not change their methods used or even consider a rewrite of its format. They seem unable to accept that if the entity is powerful (and some really are) or that it might be for example atheistic, agnostic or for that matter simply of any other belief. Therefore logically it seems more than doubtful that it will respond to any Christian ministrations.

I write now of the "Go to the light" phrase trotted by so many 'exorcists' at a haunting. Most folk simply equate all 'light' with the sun and daylight; with electricity and other artificial sources but there is no big 'sun' in the Spirit World! The light perceived and produced is not anything like light, as we know and understand it in general. The Manna Group concedes that spiritual light is related to and governed by the vibration frequency of all things animate and inanimate. However, those whom we call "The More Enlightened Ones" generate this light source. It is achieved solely through what they term "Thought power-transference" - a very advanced form of telepathy. Therefore, most 'haunters', unaware of its workings and equally unable to telepathically receive it, clearly cannot even 'see' the 'light'.

Irrespective then, of things used as accoutrements, e.g. the 'bell, book and candle', the 'light', loud speech, the waving of smoking feathers over incense, Buddhist bells or whatever will hardly, if ever, work. After all, intrinsically these are just words and add-ons! I reiterate! Unknowing and often egoistic, such people are quite dismissive and or unaware that many entities did not believe such shenanigans when on earth anyway. Why then should they do so during 'exorcism' as it happens? In addition, many entities enjoy what they do. Some, but obviously not all, desire to be and or believe that they are linked back to the earth-plane. They often don't want to 'go to the light' or for that matter, anywhere else, so here again the phenomena are not cleared. In the event, unable to shift the 'thing', pretty well all of the above 'exorcists' will hurriedly exit, leaving both the haunted and the entities to their own devices.

How then can entities be expected to accept without question the 'baptismal sanctity' or offbeat idiosyncrasies offered by such people? After all, many are themselves at least somewhat trepidant of what is happening at the scene. Indeed, many 'ghost-hunters' can't wait to leave for fear of becoming impregnated with the 'evil' (another misused word) pervading there.

Then there are folk like myself who have had many years of experience in exorcism and know most, if not all of the ways to effect a 'cure'. Sometimes 'Walking in where angels, etc.' we will just keep working until we have completely freed the premises or person(s) of any problems existing through psychic phenomena.

When in our teens many of us will ourselves have experienced personal haunting, etc. and been scared stiff during that time. But we learned better and now, long 'cured', when looking for answers - knowing that all haunting is 'curable' - we are never afraid of going in.

Often we are not the first to attend on it either. Indeed, we are often the last ones to visit by which time the whole thing could be pear-shaped. (I have never quite understood why so many folk think that 'spirits' as they term them have nothing to do with mediumship, Spiritualism; or for that matter that all shades of folk good, bad or indifferent, all survive after 'death' as well!)

In this work I am also very fortunate to have, assisting me, an incredibly strong and dependable helper. A Zulu warrior, his name was too hard for me to pronounce, so he said to call him Zarlu and I have done so for more than fifty years. During this time we have attended some funny, some strange, some sad and some really hairy exorcisms. We have also, since Zarlu checks out the situation before I even visit or whatever had some non-haunted places too where, though in themselves quite strange are, nevertheless, due to normal happenings.

Zarlu will visit the site or person(s) on his own. This can take just a few hours while on other occasions it may take some days. On his return, he will tell me something about the place, its furniture or occupants. This is done so that when I call them to arrange, if required, a visit, I can say that I know Zarlu has actually been there and to prove it I give those bits of evidence of which he spoke to me.

I wrote in my 'About Us' page that things have changed. They do and have for everyone and everything of course. Nothing, but nothing is static and cannot be or remain so. Everyone, but more especially we mediums should be acutely aware of the changes that are, albeit often subtle, occurring in both our development and the exercising of our talents (gifts).

An example of this is that when I began my exorcist work I was obliged to not only always personally attend on the situation but to also take with me a few members of the current circle I was in charge of at that time.

Briefly here I explain how, over the years the exorcism formats have changed. Originally, there would be on hand a tape recorder and when possible, cameras. We would form a circle, I would sit for trance and Zarlu would 'come through'. He would speak only briefly and finally tell everyone when he had everything under control.

The object here is to 'fool' the entity whom has been trapped inside the circle by a 'wall' of power (energy) through which it is unable to pass. Zarlu would leave the body and the entity, seeing what appeared to be a broken gap in the 'force-field' would rush smack-bang into me - literally!

Thus, in my body he or she, able to hear physically would be told by other circle members what the situation was. Then, depending on the response, the 'offender', mostly voluntarily, would both leave my body and the premises and go to their own place. If they didn't, or actively refused, Zarlu alone would then enclose him or her within a smaller 'energy space' and hand them off to other exorcist Spirit Aides trained in the process of persuasion. (This is much the same as a negotiator talking a potential suicide off a ledge or whatever.) They would show this person the 'error of their ways' and then take them to 'their place' in Spirit proper. This would be the 'vibration' one suited to them, which in turn would assist their spiritual progress, rather than have them remain too close to the earth-plane's (by comparison) 'sludge' vibration.

Some years later Zarlu would as usual visit the premises or person(s) and give to me the evidence of his being there. Passed on to the haunted, depending on what Zarlu decided, I would then either go to visit alone or take just one other person with me as my 'minder'. He or she would take responsibility for my safety from, not the Spirit side but from the haunted ones who often get, understandably, very agitated. (This minder thing is something that figures in most physical séances today.) Of course, Zarlu and the spirit exorcist helpers would always also be on hand. A slightly different format occurred here with same trance part but now, rather than my students, the Spirit Helpers would surround me with much the same 'force field operation' as above. Spoken to by my 'minder' the entity would then either, voluntarily or not, leave. Should they not do so then Zarlu, as aforementioned, would hand them off to the Spirit Aides.

Gradually then, over these many years, various changes, some subtle and some totally overt have taken place. However during this time I have still on a number of occasions had to attend myself but mostly. This would be on the basis of "justice being seen to be done' simply because the folk would not accept that they and or the house is cleared.
Mostly though the emphasis has been very much more on Zarlu going alone and dispensing as necessary. I mention one such case in my book "Spirit And Me". The solo ones by him have been carried out far and wide and all over the globe. However, his 'e-mail exorcism' must count as his crowning glory and will be disbelieved probably by the debunker and be baffling to many of the informed. Over six thousand words passed between the lady and myself. Much of it was very personal* so I have changed the name and I have written only a very potted version. From Spain to Australia!
Spirit and I recently carried out and completed what is probably the world's first exorcism via e-mail when sixteen particularly obnoxious entities were removed by Zarlu, my exorcist spirit helper. On completion of his reconnaissance he said that this would be over and done with before the lady (who was already more than a week overdue) had her baby.

However, three weeks later and six hours before she was even aware that they were going to induce her, or that I knew she was in hospital, I wrote an e-mail stating that the exorcism was complete and successful.

On visiting her in hospital just prior to the actual birth, her husband, tongue in cheek listened as she expressed her disappointment of Zarlu and me for not doing what we had said we would. With just the beginning of a smile she became slightly angered and queried his attitude stating it was nothing to laugh about! He didn't reply. However, now smiling broadly and saying nothing he handed over the e-mail. Subsequently she was induced and gave birth to a girl. Since then I have had several follow up e-mails saying that everything is back to normal. No noises, no voices and particularly no touching…
